I think we can all agree that the air I getting cooler and the days are getting shorter, fall is slowly but surely creeping up on us. However, it’s one of my favorite times of the year to live in the state of Michigan and watch everything change around me. One of my favorite things about Fall is the beautiful sunflowers and how they brighten up any room with the beautiful colors. I am always so amazed by the diverse array of sizes and colors. I love how they take over a large area and grow as they please. It almost looks like a sunflower forest.
Sunflowers seem to live my spirits. They are bright and cheery, and as warm and inviting as the sweet summer sun. With brilliant yellow petals, sunflowers have a very sun like appearance that just brightens my day. They remind me of my daughter quite a bit. She always has the same impression on me.
Sunflowers symbolize adoration, loyalty, and longevity. Also, another thing that reminds me of my dear Sajra. Much of the meaning of sunflowers stems from its namesake, the sun itself. These flowers are unique in that they have the ability to provide energy in the form of nourishment. Sunflowers are often known for being “happy” flowers, making them the perfect gift to bring someone joy. I would consider Sajra my pride and joy!
